Sorry about the long time between posts, but things have been a little busy our way. This weekend just gone Princess Herbivore and the parentals flew up to Brisbane to surprise Great-Grandma for her 80th birthday. Will write more about that later, but just wanted to let everyone know we are still here and posting. Never fear, the blog shall be updated!
We flew in to Brisbane on Friday evening but didn't get a chance to take any photos until Saturday morning. She enjoyed the view from our 15th floor apartment in Brisbane for all of one minute and then went back inside to rip off her nappy and start kissing her reflection with gusto. Apparently no view can rival that of her own lovely self.
Grandma was late to her own birthday lunch - but being a surprise had no idea that we were all waiting over an hour for her! Harriet was very out of sorts and only lasted the entree round, then we had to hightail it out of there back to Bernadette's house. The most difficult part of the day was entertaining Harriet - especially when we wanted her to stay clean (which we never normally do). She had made a beeline for these big abacus-style balls when I noticed she was also grabbing handfuls of dirt and throwing them in the air. Poor poppet didn't understand why on this day at this time we had to take her away from the dirt. And I was a complete fool and was dressed in white. *sheesh* Won't be making that mistake again.
Have tried to upload photos with this post but have been resoundly unsuccessful. Will try again tomorrow, by which time we'll have more to write about since we're seeing Judy from Perth tomorrow.
