Here she is having her foot measured; width, height and length. She turned up at a size 5 and the woman was very helpful and informative, telling me all about what she needed in a first shoes. Things like a stiff back support to the heel, a soft but firm sole around the toe, 3mths growth accommodation. Jeepers, who would have thought it was such a science?!

So there was an anxious wait whilst she went out the back to find the correct shoe for Harriet. Here she's sitting on the special shoe fitting bench they have at the store not looking too sure of herself!

And then it was time for lunch. Mmmmm..pumpkin is the big hit of the week. Here she is posing like an expert (gee, I wonder why?).
While we're here, the nurse said that she is the average height of a 21mth old! The vital stats are:
Height - 84cms
Weight - just under 12kgs (skinny after the diarrhoea still)

great taste in clothes!!! Ola bought Mia those exact same purple stripy trousers for her birthday party!! I love them!
Whats with a specific place to get measured for 1st shoes? Can't all shoe shops do it?
Oh man, you are SO out of the loop! ;o) If you go to a specialist place they tell you the right kind of shoes to buy as well. Had bought Harry some boot sbut they didn't flex with her foot and some other foot-important stuff. So we ditched them and now she has the sandals. They even gave me a little card to remind me when to come in for the next fitting!
