A New Sydneysider

Harriet has now joined the ranks of the east coast brigade! The flight over went really well, which was a relief considering how squealy she was in the departure lounge before we left. We had given her a few doses of the Brauer 'Calm' which appeared to work a treat because she was so calm that she fell asleep for three-quarters of the flight!

We're now staying in Medina Appts in Chippendale - the room is really lovely, has a full kitchen, lounge room, full-sized bath and even a little garden/balcony area. Just a short walk to King Street Newtown and Broadway Shopping Centre which is handy for everyone.

In fact we had to head off to Broadway this morning because Harriet woke up with a rash all over her torso. It wasn't bothering her and she hadn't had any new foods, used any new detergents or body washes or anything, and had no fever. All the same what with the recent measles outbreak and everything we thought better safe than sorry and took her up to Broadway for her first check-up with the doctor. He was a lovely guy and seemed surprised that this was the first time Harriet had been to see a doctor for something other than her vaccinations. All was fine, just a viral thing and by later on tonight it was very faded and she hasn't had any real signs of being upset other than wanting to have more breastfeeding than normal.

In other exciting news we bought a new stroller today - a Quinny 'Buzz' in purple. Our old one was so, SO bad because it was difficult to manouvere especially when it had Harriet facing us. Since she gets upset if we're not facing her we definitely needed to get a reversible stroller, and this one totally rocks. Although the wheels are big so it feels as though it has a bigger footprint than our old four wheeler, in actual fact it is the same size and actually folds down a lot better than our old one. Yay!

Well since we can't connect up the photos in the camera to this old laptop just yet photos of Miss Harry on the plane and meeting up with her Aunt Kristy will have to wait. But you can bet your booty that they'll be up here ready for perusal and adoration as soon as is humanly possible.
